What is your purpose? You can answer this in many complicated ways, but the heart of it is simple.
Your purpose is to bring love into the world… by being your own unique expression of love.
There’s nothing else you need to do or be.
When you sit with yourself and let love overflow from your heart, what is it that wants to come out?
Is it a song, a dance, a prayer? A book, a project, a community? Is it creating a family? Helping people?
Feel into it and let it flow naturally, in a way that feels joyful to you… in a way that makes your heart sing.
Don’t put pressure on yourself to know what to do first. Purpose is not about DOING. It’s not a job title, accomplishment, or end result. It’s about how you’re BEING.
But often, when you’re BEING love, you’ll want to express that love by doing something. And from there, something new will unfold naturally.
When you live from the heart and create from the soul, I promise you… That is your highest expression.
Whatever you create will be touched by the core of who you are, which is divinity. It will come from a pure place that is unique to you. No one else can replicate that.
And it will touch the hearts of all those who are meant to cross your path, with ripple effects beyond what you can imagine.
Take the mind out of it for a moment. Take the question of money or time out of it.
It’s about living from the heart, tapping into the love there, and expressing yourself with joy. Even a moment of this – an hour, a month, a year – is worth its weight in gold.
An hour in the evening or on the weekend is a gift to yourself.
It will open doors you didn’t know existed, from deep within. It will show you that there’s a magical force in the universe guiding you every step of the way, from the moment you start saying yes to your heart.
It requires a level of trust and surrender.
But what is it that you must trust, exactly?
It is yourself. Your heart. Your reason for being, which is at the core: love.
But several beliefs may keep you from trusting yourself: thoughts that you aren’t worthy, you aren’t enough… that it won’t be easy, that you need to look good, or hustle and survive in other ways.
If you doubt yourself, what you’ve forgotten is your own power.
Simply being alive is enough.
Simply walking on this earth, you are source incarnate.
Without doing anything, your heart and energy touches the lives of all those you come across.
You don’t have to be like anyone else. You get to be your unique expression of love.
This way, you can BE your purpose in every present moment by the way you treat yourself, and others, with love.
Just start there. Connect with your core, and you’ll be amazed by all the ideas and opportunities that flood into your path, allowing you to express more of who you truly are.
If not you, then who?
You are it.
You are worthy.
Your life has meaning.
Your heart is beautiful.
You’ve been angry, hurt, lonely, anxious – but because of this, you have the ability to know the wholeness of love.
Under all the layers of protection and fear, can you feel it? Can you feel the warmth, the song in your heart?
It has always been there, whether you can hear it or not. And if you’d just slow down and listen, it will show you the way back to yourself… To your most loving, joyful self.
